The Founder
Born in Inkster, Michigan, Kyle Jackson founded Amad Afeto in April 2020.
His creative perspective comes from looking beyond fashion itself. Art, architecture, travel, culture, nature, and the character of different places all influence the way he sees the world and approaches design.
Kyle doesn't see clothing as separate from those experiences. He sees it as another way to communicate them.
Amad Afeto is an extension of that perspective—a place where clothing, art, materials, people, and environments can come together.
The Art of Feeling
“Amad” is Kyle’s middle name, while “Afeto” means affection. Together, the name reflects what is at the heart of Amad Afeto: an affection for beauty, art, craftsmanship, and the feelings that certain places and moments leave behind.
Amad Afeto is about feeling as much as fashion.
A late evening beside the water. Walking through a European street you've never seen before. The energy of an American city at. A piece of art that stays with you long after you've left the room.
These moments are where our collections begin.
We don't believe clothing should simply look good. It should make you feel something. It should remind you of somewhere you've been, somewhere you want to go, or a moment you never want to forget.
Each collection is an exploration of those feelings, translated into clothing and objects meant to become part of your own story.

We aren't interested in creating enormous collections simply to fill a store.
We prefer to create small, precise, and limited collections—pieces that have a reason to exist.
That means being thoughtful about what we make and how much of it we make. We don't want to create unnecessary waste or produce clothing that is here for one season and forgotten the next.
We want to make the pieces you keep.
The shirt you find years later in your closet and remember exactly where you wore it.
The jacket you reach for again and again.
The scarf that reminds you of a particular place, person, or night.
The things you eventually run back to.
That is why we place such importance on the materials we choose. Quality fabrics are not simply about how something feels when you first touch it. They are about how it lives with you over time.

Amad Afeto works with experienced manufacturers to bring our designs to life, while also seeking opportunities to collaborate with independent creators, artists, and craftspeople.
We appreciate the human element in making.
A perfectly manufactured object has its place, but we don't believe everything has to feel untouched by the person who made it. There can be beauty in the small differences, the marks, and the subtle imperfections that remind you that someone's hands were actually there.
As a creator, Kyle embraces that idea.
Not everything needs to be perfectly uniform to be beautiful.

Limited production allows us to remain deliberate.
It gives each collection room to breathe and gives us the opportunity to focus on the details that might otherwise be lost when creating at scale.
